Strong Thread SLP Association

Polomolok, South Cotabato

Strong Thread SLP Association of Polomolok, South Cotabato is a beneficiary of the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Field Office XII. Organized on May 19, 2019, the association started with 16 members who received ₱240,000 livelihood assistance. They produce high-quality ethnic bags made from Batik and Inaul fabrics, showcasing the rich cultural heritage of Mindanao. Through dedication, teamwork, and perseverance, they have grown into one of the top-performing SLP Associations in Region XII. The association has received several awards and recognitions from DSWD and other organizations, becoming a model SLPA in the region. They actively participate in trade fairs and exhibits and continue to receive support from LGUs, DTI, and other government agencies in promoting local products and sustainable community development.
